Love this super-sturdy desk with small profile. It's light and easy to maneuver but not wobbly. Mine was hard to get the screws in and fully tightened unless EVERY SCREW was only 25% tight, until everything was partially screwed together. Once all the pieces were assembled, the screws tightened fine. At first, I was not pleased that the desk surface and 2 shelf pieces are covered by what seems like a lightly-textured contact paper-like surface, especially as it is a brighter white color than the rest of the frame. But it wipes clean easily, doesn't scratch and once my monitor, keyboard, and other items were on it, I found I don't mind it at all. But if it bothers you, be aware. The desk surface and shelves are still very sturdy and each is supported by a metal bar underneath that runs the length of each shelf. I was worried the textured work surface might rip or lose stickiness and look shabby but it's actually really tough so far and looks great. The manual crank system works like a dream and the handle can be folded in or removed entirely if you wish. I alternate standing and sitting throughout the day for various tasks and love that I can adjust it to any height. It takes a couple seconds to crank but totally worth it for the flexibility. I put the locking feet on the front for easier access and additional stability, though haven't needed to lock them yet. Love the style and small footprint of the desk in my home space. Accommodates my small laptop, an additional monitor, mouse, keyboard, task lamp and miscellaneous office goodies with enough room for a clean workspace to type or write. Highly recommend this for a remote home office (or a small office space at work). Not designed to be loaded down with office equipment like printer/copiers or fill upper/lower shelves with heavy books.I was really excited about this product, great reviews, and affordable price. When I received it, I wasn't entirely happy, however. The welds holding some of the pieces together were very poorly made, I ended up having my roommate reweld them for me. I will say they were not weight bearing parts, but still bothersome in my eyes.I'm giving a 4-star, however, because customer service was very helpful in addressing this issue and remarks were made that they would refer this information to the manufacturer to hopefully improve the product in the future. This is not a lightweight product to easily return, had it been, I may have just sent it back to try a different desk. But my roommate has the capability to weld, it was easiest to have him do this, and then I proceeded to put the desk together. If you do not have this capability and looking for perfection, you may reconsider your purchase. But for the price, you are getting a good enough quality desk.It was very easy to put together. The crank is very smooth and easy to adjust height of desk from sitting to standing. All load bearing parts seem sturdy enough for my purposes. This was one of the only desks I could find that had both a two-tier style top, as well as, ability to manually adjust from sitting to standing, especially within my price range. While it is not the perfect set up, it has successfully met my needs. This desk is not cheap, but it's surprisingly good quality. Putting it together was a bit of a pain, but I did it alone and the end result was worth the assembly frustrations. The hand crank to make it a standing desk works well -- better I think than anything electrical that could break. Overall the desk looks very nice, has clean lines, and does its job -- I'm glad I chose this desk. This desk was fairly easy to assemble and seems sturdy so far. It looks nice, but it also doesn't take up a lot of space. The hand crank works amazing. It doesn't take too long (and hardly any effort) to move it up and down.I am 5'7" and I can stand and write very comfortably. I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard for the bottom shelf and put my laptop on the top. I plan to put a printer on the bottom shelf.I bought this for my classroom so I can keep my technology on it and have the flexibility to sit, stand, and easily move around as I'm teaching. It is PERFECT! It's sleek, sturdy, and great quality. I love the material of the table surface, and it's plenty big enough for my double screens, keyboard, mouse, and planner. I started to buy a different one that raised and lowered by locking/unlocking a knob and pushing/pulling up or down, but a lot of reviews said that it was difficult to do unless you take everything off of it. I bought this one instead because of the crank, and it goes up and down so smoothly! I will be able to leave everything on it and still adjust as needed. Assembly was pretty easy, but I definitely recommend having a helper to hold things in place as you screw them in. The screws use an allen wrench and sometimes it takes a while to get them in the metal holes just right so that they catch and screw in.This is a very nice desk, especially for the price. I looked all over to find what I needed: big enough for two monitors, but able to push through a doorway, long enough to spread out some, adjustable up and down while monitors are on the desk, and of course, wheels to roll it around. This desk fit the bill and more. I do love the crank as opposed to electric, one less plug and one less thing to possibly break then I would be stuck with a stationary desk.It was not too difficult to put together. It is very very sturdy. The bottom shelf at my feet is great to put things on and rest my feet on. I got the black desk and there were no scratches. I did get a big pad for the keyboard and mouse. I highly recommend purchasing this desk. It was one of the least expensive desks that had all of the features I wanted. I can’t imagine the more expensive desks would be any better than this one.
